Marketing & Communications Co-ordinator

RACE are seeking a Marketing & Communications Co-ordinator.  The role offers a huge variety of responsibilities and requires a highly motivated and efficient professional to be responsible for the preparation and delivery of racedays and other projects within RACE.

This is a full-time salary role.  You will be required to work Saturdays when Races are being held.  This role could be based at either venue depending on your location, RACE Awapuni or RACE Trentham.

The appointee will contribute their skills to ensure a variety of key functions are managed efficiently and effectively. 

These include:

  • All aspects of preparing for racing events at either venue
  • Preparing directional signage for all race days
  • Marketing Campaigns - creation and follow up calls
  • Managing race day hospitality enquiries, bookings, ticketing
  • Preparing accurate run sheets for race days
  • Assist with race day set ups
  • Assist on race days
  • Website & Social media creative
  • Other duties in consultation with the Marketing & Sponsorship Manager
  • Greeting clients/suppliers and assisting with walk in enquiries 
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, InDesign & Illustrator

  • Proven ability to respond positively to the requirements of stakeholders
  • Proven ability to provide leadership and direction to fellow staff when required
  • General computer skills including familiarity with the Microsoft and Adobe suite of programmes
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • An understanding of workplace health & safety requirements
  • High level of commitment
  • A passion for continuous improvement
