Impressive last-start Trentham winner Anderson Bridge is holding his form judging by a bold trial at Awapuni on Tuesday morning.

Fast work was held on the outside of the course proper in perfect conditions, above and underfoot.

Anderson Bridge, trained by the Gray partnership, had Bruno Queiroz aboard over 1000m in 1.7.4, increasing the tempo as he went to finish with 800m in 49.5, the last 600 in 34.8. He was the only horse to break 35 seconds for the last section.

His stablemates Cosentino and Hard Too Think lost no kudos, with Cosentino covering 1000m in 1.4.3 and 800m in 48.8, the last 600 in 35.1. Hard Too Think clocked 1.7.8 and 50.9, the last 600 in 35.8.

Otaki maiden entrants Oklahoma and Bantry from the Lisa Latta stable, did strong work, with 1000m in 1.7.1, the last 600 in 35.9. Oklahoma's fourth at Otaki last start had plenty of merit, and a barrier blanket goes on.

Their stablemates Lantern Way and Litigator were paired over 1000m in 1.4.9, the last 600 in 36.4, while Altezza and Lets All Boogie from the Bryce Newman barn took 1.6.1 and 36.9. Altezza races on Friday with side winkers on.

Hello My Dear had Rohan Mudhoo in the saddle over 1000m in 1.6.7, the last 600 in 36 seconds even, followed soon after by Blue Jeanie and Uncle Arch in 1.6.9 and 36.3. Only The Lonely and Street Appeal posted 1.7.8 and 36.1.

McKhan, in at Whanganui on Saturday, had trainer Ashley Meadows aboard over 1000m in 1.8.3, with the final 800m taking 51.3, the last 600 in 36.2. He has done well since a resuming third at Otaki on Boxing Day.

Tears Of Victory, blinkers on this week, covered 1000m in 1.8.5 and completed the final 800m in 51.1, the last 600 in 36.5. His stablemate Cooper recorded 1.10.9 and 51.8, the last 600 in 36.5, and Tivaci's Affair clocked 1.10 and 51.4, the last 600 in 36.3.

Sloshed was timed 800m in 50 seconds even, the last 600 in 36 seconds even, while Sand Point, tongue tie on this week, and Dapper Dan went together in 50.3 and 36.8.

Coulthard and First Edition left 800m behind in 51.6, the last 600 in 36.4, and their stablemates Port Chalmer and Darci Dior took 51.3 and 36.7.

Lady Anglesea had Brian for a partner over 1000m in 1.6.5, the last 600 in 37.3, and John Doe went alone in 1.8.7 and 37 seconds even.

The Liquidator, who resumes at Wanganui for trainer Leon Mudgway, and Mike Breslin-trained Sevenayes were paired over 1000m in 1.7.8, the last 600 in 37.1.

Starpello and Ocean Melody matched strides over 800m in 52.5, the last 600 in 37.5, while their stablemates Rithim and Chelsea Rose took 52.8.and 37.3.

Unraced three-year-old Sundown Sav (by Savabeel), debuting on Friday, and unraced two-year-old She's A Weapon (by Armory) did 800m in 52.9, the last 600 in 37 seconds even. They are fillies in the Didham stable.

Can Do worked alone over 1000m in 1.9.9, the last 600 in 38.5, while Derrick and Donatello went together in 1.11.1 and 38.2. My Alibi and Furiosa took 1.12.1 and 38.5.

Boxing Day winner Pepeha covered 800m in 55.1, the last 600 in 38.9, and Platinum Tyche ended with 38 seconds even. City Gold Dragon and Pistachio posted 38.2. Ardroe was kept to 800m in 57.5, the last 600 in 40.2.

On the plough, Casta Shadow was timed 800m in 52.4, the last 600 in 37.5.
