Kana, Gum Basher and McKhan showed their fitness for pending engagements when they galloped strongly at Awapuni on Tuesday morning.
Fast work was held on the synthetic track or on the plough (slow).
All three horses used the synthetic track, with Kana and stablemate Gum Basher going together over 1000m in 1.5.1, with the final 800m taking 49.4, the last 600 in 36.5.
Kana won a trial at Waipukurau at the end of April, but was a shade disappointing when resuming at Trentham two weeks ago. She can make amends at short notice, while Gum Basher looked a certainty beaten last start.
McKhan worked alone with trainer Ashley Meadows in the saddle and, after a quiet round, reeled off 1000m in 1.5.8, coming the final 800m in 49.9, the last 600 in 36.1. He is knocking on the door for win number four.
Bradman and Charlotte's Way matched strides over 1000m in 1.8.7 and finished with 800m in 51.8, the last 600 in 37.5. Their stablemates Fleeting Glimpse (by Ardrossan), second on debut, and Reign It In posted 1.7.1 and 38 seconds even.
Pleasing covered 1000m in 1.9.6, the last 600 in 40 seconds even, while stablemate Call A Friend and Stephen Mercer-trained gelding Keepitinyourwallet, who could debut on Saturday, went together in 1.11 and 40.2. Faustian Bargain took 1.11.7 and 40.3.
On the plough, Semper Magico had Portia Mathews aboard over a bold 1000m in 1.5.8, with the final 800m taking 51.3, the last 600 in 37.7. He has won nine races on the flat and one over hurdles, and is close to racing trim.
Sweet Ada, who ran a bold race fresh up at Hawera, had stablemate Navy Bride for a partner over 1000m in 1.8.9, the last 600 in 37.4.
Textbook and unraced two-year-old Bit By Bit (by Turn Me Loose) recorded 1.11 even for 1000m, the last 600 in 39.7, and their stablemate Lady Performer went alone in 1.11.3 and 39.8.
Super Spirit did a quiet round in the centre then came out to run 1000m in 1.10.5, the last 600 in 40.2, while Lincoln Star recorded 1.9.9 and 41.6.
Two-year-old filly Under Orders (by War Decree), third at Trentham last start, and stablemate Lady Anglesea were kept to 1000m in 1.14.1, the last 600 in 42.1. Under Orders was entered for Wanganui.
