Omega Boy again sounded a fair warning going into the Wellington meeting on Saturday when he galloped at Awapuni on Thursday morning.

Fast work during another quiet session was on the synthetic track or the plough.

Omega Boy used the synthetic track and had stablemate Felucca for a partner over a very smart 1000m in 1.1.5, coming the final 800m in 46.8, the last 600 in 35.2. The pair did nice work together on Tuesday, but were not as quick.

Omega Boy, in the r65 1400m on Saturday, was narrowly beaten at Trentham last start, and is obviously holding his form strongly. Michael McNab rides him again.

Felucca won a maiden race at Tauherenikau early last month, then finished out of the money in the Eulogy Stakes at Trentham. She has not raced since, and is not engaged on Saturday.

Wellington acceptors Town Cryer (Thorndon Mile) and Wingman (Levin Classic) were paired over 1000m in 1.4.2, with the final 800m taking 49.2, the last 600 in 36.2. They are at the top of their game.

Their stablemate Asahi covered 1000m in 1.3.6, finishing with 800m in 49.9, the last 600 in 37.8, and Vee Vee, another from the Bergerson stable, clocked 1.9.5 and 52.2, the last 600 in 38.7.

On the plough, last-start maiden winner Goddess was timed 1000m in 1.9.3, increasing the tempo as she went to complete the final 800m in 53.3, the last 600 in 38.6. She tackles Saturday's r65 2100m, and Madan Singh retains the mount.

Trentham Stakes runner Manifique, who worked in great style on Tuesday, was kept to 1000m in 1.8.4 and 53.5, the last 600 in 39.2.

She was narrowly beaten over 2100 metres at Trentham last start with Masa Hashizume in the saddle, but Matt Cartwright is aboard on Saturday.

Unraced four-year-old mare Wind Talker (by Staphanos) and a Sweynesse filly, both trained by Mark Oulaghan, sprinted 600m in 36.2. Unraced stablemate Havana House (by Redwood) took 41.5.

Jack Morrison went an easy 1000m in 1.12.6, the last 600 in 42.4, while Main Street came up with 1.13.1 and 42 even.

Unraced five-year-old Basslock (by Shocking) and unraced four-year-old Sweettest (by Time Test), galloping together, ended with 600m in 42.1. They are with Mark Oulaghan as well.
