The Zed mare ran third at Waverley two starts ago and, though last of eight at the synthetic track meeting last Sunday, she was less than five lengths from the winner.
Last-start Otaki winner Reign It In was the only other horse timed on the synthetic track, but he was kept to a quiet 800m in 60.1, the last 600 in 42.6.
It was Reign It In's third successive victory in that Otaki sprint and he was ridden each time by Awapuni apprentice Jim Chung.
On the plough, Textbook and unraced four-year-old stablemate Emoji (by Ocean Park) ran 80m in 53.1, the last 600 in 37.7. Emoji was formerly trained by the O'Sullivan-Scott partnership, but is now with Lydia Pickford.
Lady Performer worked alone over 1000m in 1.8.7, coming the final 800m in 53.2, the last 600 in 38.9, and she is holding solid form. A Per Incanto gelding trained by Ashley Meadows did a quiet round before running 1000m in 1.10.8, the last 600 in 38 seconds even.
Maiden jumper Keepz Occurring left 1000m behind in 1.8.5, with the final 800m taking 53.9, the last 600 in 39.6.
An Almanzor two-year-old filly and a Magna Grecia three-year-old gelding ran 800m in 58.9, the last 600 in 40.2, and they are with Lydia Pickford as well. Showbastian Coe and a Harry Angel colt posted 60.1 and 41 seconds even.
Unraced three-year-old Donatello (by Reliable Man) did a quiet round, speeding up slightly on the second circuit to finish with 800m in 61.2 and 43.4. Trained by Ashley Meadows, he boasts solid trial and jump-out form.
